Don’t
forget our field trip tomorrow. We will board the buses at 8:30. The Boise
Philharmonic Children’s concert begins at 9:40. We will return to school in
time for our regular lunch time. Students may dress in nice concert attire or
just wear their normal school clothes. The concert is free.

Character
Counts: Our character focus for the rest of January and the month
February is FAIRNESS. We will be reading stories and having discussions about
being FAIR and what that means.
MATH: We will
continue Topic 6: Connect Area to Multiplication and Addition. In this topic,
we will explore the question: How can area be measured and found? HOMEWORK THIS WEEK ON TUESDAY, 2/18 AND
THURSDAY, 2/20.
READING: This week we
are talking about nonliteral language. (ex. Raining cats and dogs, etc.) Sometimes it is hard for students to
understand what the author is trying to say. READING HOMEWORK PACKET DUE FRIDAY, 2/21!!!
SPELLING: No New Spelling Lists will come home this
week. I would like to review some of the lists for the last month.
