Our
Valentine Party will be Friday, February 14th at 2:00. Students will
pass out their valentines and then we will watch the Peanuts Valentine movie. I
have large white bags that we will be decorating for students to use for the
valentines they receive. If your child has a box or bag at home that they would
prefer, they may bring it Friday to use instead.

Character
Counts: Our character focus for the rest of January and the month
February is FAIRNESS. We will be reading stories and having discussions about
being FAIR and what that means.
MATH: We will begin
Topic 6: Connect Area to Multiplication and Addition. In this topic, we will
explore the question: How can area be measured and found? HOMEWORK THIS WEEK ON TUESDAY, 2/11 AND THURSDAY, 2/13
READING: This week we
are talking about nonliteral language. (ex. Raining cats and dogs, etc.) Sometimes it is hard for students to
understand what the author is trying to say. READING HOMEWORK PACKET DUE FRIDAY, 2/14!!!
SPELLING: New Spelling Lists will come home on Monday, February
10th. The Test will be on
Thursday.
