We have our specials from 11:10 till 11:50 each day.

Character Counts: Our character focus for October and the first week of
November is Respect. We will be reading stories and having discussions about
becoming Respectful and what that means.
MATH: This week we
will review Math Topic 2: Multiplication Facts Use Patterns to prepare for the
Unit 2 Test. NO HOMEWORK THIS WEEK.
Monday your student should bring home a study guide. Make sure your student studies
the guide then brings it back to school. Everyone who returns it with a parent
signature will get 5 Extra Credit points on the test. The test will be Wednesday,
October 30th.
WRITING: We will begin our new writing unit this week;
Informational Reports. This is always a fun unit for third graders. They love
exploring and learning more about something they are interested in.
READING: In our
Reading this week, we are working on referencing text. We will look at different
authors and articles to find information.
READING HOMEWORK PACKET DUE FRIDAY.
SPELLING: Students will get a new Spelling List on
Monday, Oct. 28th. There is a pre-test on Thursday. Those who earn a 100% on
Thursday will not have to take the test on Friday. Watch for your student’s
list on Monday in their Home Folder.
Student
of the Week: Our students of the week for 10/28 – 11/1 are Landyn and
Isabella. They will be able to share Friday, November 1st at 1:20.
