Our
schedule:
We have our specials from 11:10 till 11:50 each day.
Monday (10/14) – P.E.
Tuesday (10/15) – Music
Wednesday (10/16) – P.E.
Thursday (10/17) – Music
Character Counts: Our character focus for October is Respect. We will be
reading stories and having discussions about becoming Respectful and what that
means.
MATH: This week we
will continue with Math Topic 2: Multiplication Facts Use Patterns. HOMEWORK ON TUESDAY ONLY.
WRITING: During the first quarter of Third Grade we will be
working on Personal Narratives. Our first Masterpiece needs a little more work.
I’ll see how we are getting along at the end of this week.
READING: In our
Reading this week, we are working on Main Idea. We will look at different
authors and stories to see what the Main Idea of the selection is and how the
author chose to express it. READING
HOMEWORK PACKET DUE THURSDAY. I am still missing
several September Reading Calendars. I can send another one home if your
student has lost it. This Homework assignment is worth 100 points.
SPELLING: Students will get a new Spelling List on
Monday, Oct. 14th. There is a pre-test on Wednesday. Those who earn a 100% on
Wednesday will not have to take the test on Thursday. Watch for your student’s
list on Monday in their Home Folder.
Student
of the Week: Our students of the week for 10/14 – 10/18 are Meg and August.
They will be able to share Thursday, October 17 at 1:20.
