Happy
New Year!!!!! And welcome back to school! I am so excited to “get back in the
swing of things”! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas break! I enjoyed
some time with my family. But, now I am ready to begin this New Year. Here’s to
a fabulous 2020!!!!!
Our
schedule:
We have our specials from 11:10 till 11:50 each day.
Monday (1/6) – P.E.
Tuesday (1/7) – Music
Wednesday (1/8) – P.E.
Thursday (1/9) – Music
Friday (1/10) – Music
Character Counts: Our character focus for December and January is
RESPONSIBILITY. We will be reading stories and having discussions about
becoming Responsible and what that means.
MATH: We are
beginning Topic 4: Use Multiplication to Divide; Division Facts
HOMEWORK THIS WEEK ON TUESDAY, 1/7 AND THURSDAY, 1/9!!!
WRITING: We are
working on our new writing unit this week; Informational Reports. This week we
will research the animals and organize the information. Students are welcome to
research at home and bring the facts they find to school.
READING: In our
Reading this week, we are looking at some Poetry. This is an area that most students don’t get a lot of experience
reading. I think they will enjoy it. READING HOMEWORK PACKET DUE FRIDAY, 1/10!!!
SPELLING: NO NEW SPELLING LIST THIS WEEK!! We are
reviewing some past lists and reviewing past skills.
Student
of the Week: Our students of the week for 1/6 – 1/10 are Brielle and Blake.
They will be able to share Friday, January 6th.
